A Cashley Ruins Football Again and I'm Goonerbashing!

I am going to have a go at Arsenal fans so be warned this is not for the easily offended! Just to qualify this, I love arsenal fans I think on the whole they are amazing, I met one of my best mates on the bus to an Arsenal match, purely because of an Arsenal badge, I think its cool that people will speak to you because of the love of the Gooners. Especially in these times where everyone is so grumpy.

My rare trips to the Arsenal have always been on my own and it has always felt weird to be sat on my lonesome (the joys of being a red member I suppose). I have been to 7 games and every time the people around me have seen that and made an effort to speak to me (one old dear gave me a lemon sherbet!). It really is a united atmosphere. I feel that I am a part of the Arsenal not just a football follower.

My problem is the speed of our fans turning on players. I was astonished to read people calling for Arsene to get the boot after the Fulham game. I cite the example of Adebayor as a key example of this. As I have made clear I would have taken £15m for him over the summer and wouldn’t have him as one of the most well paid players (average wage and a massive goal bonus would be my idea). I do think he is a badge player, he loves Arsenal. The media are trying to sell stories, they also hate Arsenal and I think a lot of people bought into the talk of Ade wanting to go, I don't remember him saying he wanted to go because if he did he would have gone. This booing is totally stupid and counter productive. Show these people some bloody loyalty. Keep criticism constructive or its pointless!

I think the need for people to boo players is because of the little input the fans have no real voice. Does Arsene read all of these blogs? Will he make Fabregas captain because I had a poll on my blog? I strongly feel that Arsenal should have a proper fans forum or some sort of Q&A with some of the management one afternoon a month or something like that. We have no real say and we are the stakeholders of the club and deserve to be heard! We need to act as a united (dirty word) front.

I live near Newcastle, I’m sorry not my fault! I have always sort of had an interest in them. (especially since we hammer them). I also HATE Mike Cashley (he’s a spurs fan as well). I think Kevin Keegan has been stitched up by the Barcodes board, it made me think, would Arsenal fans surround the stadium and kick up the fuss if something like that happened or are we fair weather supporters? http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/7599621.stm listen to this, I think the point about people filling the stadium because we are winning struck a chord somewhere. I hope its not true. Stand up and be counted! I think we and Liverpool do have real supporters Man u and Chavski don't!

Get behind OUR TEAM, we are the Arsenal!

To be honest, anyone with Bendtner in their personal starting XI doesnt deserve to heard lol (joking btw)!

Its a fair point about the booing, but in the end we are fans that pay THE most expensive tickets in the WORLD. I paid £48 to watch Fulham vs Arsenal, what do you think Im going to do at the end of the game? Cheer? Wenger last season bemoaned his lack of squad depth for the appauling 4-0 mauling against Man Utd, and for ending the season so poorly, yet still we see no players in.

Im not asking for £30 Robinho or £50m Torres etc, just someone who adds squad depth and gives us an insurance incase Cesc gets injured. Wenger has say realistically £20m to spend on transfer fee's, he doesnt spend it, fair enough. But stop taking the piss with tickets, shirt prices etc when we all know we have only a realistic chance of finishing 3rd or 4th. Then I will stop moaning. We are not the best club in the world, we have 2 or 3 world-class players, so stop taking the piss out of the average fans with the prices of everything and maybe we'll all be more calmer with our judgements of the team.

RE the starting XI its a match fit XI, normally it would be Eduardo but hes broken!

I was meaning the booing Adebayor. that really annoyed me. I think booing the team after the game at fulham the players deserved fining. I also think that we need to strengthen if not we will get pipped at the post again and again. Football is not the same anymore and i dont like it i wish i could have been in the terraces of the North Bank with 35,000 others but its supply and demand. if we didnt pay £35 for the cheapest tix then the price would drop, I'll stop paying after you!
if you look at my first blog I pretty much agree with what you are saying

Cheers

lol fair enough I have to admit I completely forgot about poor Eduardo which is testament to how annoyed Wenger has annoyed me :D

With regard to stengthening, what annoyed me is not that we haven't bought a big name so to speak, I couldnt care who it is as whoever we've signed has been terrific, but its just the lack of signings which has pissed me off, so when Wenger says "everybody wants me to sign a big name" its bollocks and he knows it.

As regards to ticket prices/reducing them, I wish so many people would stop being mugs about the £35 MINIMUM price. I think we should be like Spain where the tickting is more extreme in price eg Real Madrid vs Barcelona is £80 a ticket MAXIMUM (some of the crap seats are like £40), yet Real Madrid vs. Numancia (crap team basically) is like £10. I will never ever pay £60-80 to see Arsenal vs. West Brom for example. Arsenal can continue do this and get away with it because of the stupid membership tiered scheme where poor red members only get 1500-4000 tickets max usually for a game so they will pay it for 1 game. All it does it fuel the greedieness within the Etonian establishment of Arsenal, and milks more money from poor supporters. In my opinion I think we should do like Man United and give everyone same tiered membership so they wont be as jumpy to waste near £150 to take them and their kids to a football match.

We as fans need to stand up to this. No excuses, Im sorry, otherwise your justifying and contributing to the pricing out of the average fan. I didnt buy the home kit or away kit this year for the forst time for 8 years. They are taking the piss AGAIN.

We as fans have to stand up for the average fans rights!! (and if anyone thinks Im some old boy whose moaning etc Im actually a relatively young supporter whose just dissillusioned with the club and its practises at the minute so bear that in mind!)
